Report on the abc network - a group of people, who are currently unclear where they came from, but according to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, they are not Israelis, was arrested after nude videos taken on a balcony in Dubai were published.
While Dubai is considered very open on many issues, public nudity is considered a very serious offense that can carry heavy penalties.
According to the report, those involved may go to prison for about six months and pay fines of thousands of shekels.
If it is pornographic content, the penalties could be even more severe, according to reports.
"Photos and videos of more than 12 naked women photographed on a balcony in Dubai were posted in the late hours of last Saturday. The photos and videos were taken in the Marina area of Dubai and were quickly circulated on social media," ABC said.
Local police issued a statement on the matter stating that, "this is unacceptable behavior that does not conform to the values and ethics of the company in the UAE."
It is currently unknown whether these are locals or tourists.
Currently, there are many Israeli tourists who are in Dubai, but the Foreign Ministry clarifies that after checking with the authorities in the Emirates, there is no Israeli connection to the incident.
