The chairman of the Torah Judaism faction, MK Yitzhak Pindros, said this morning (Sunday) that his party should refrain from forming a government with the support or avoidance of the RAAM party. "It is clearly not an ideal and normal situation to rely on a party that supports terrorism," he said in a radio interview. He emphasized that the question had not yet been decided by the rabbis, although Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, one of the party's leaders, claimed that he had spoken out on the issue.

According to Pindros, "

When it is a practical and not hypothetical question, we will rise to the greats of Israel, but we must do everything we can to make it not a practical question. "

The hawkish voice in the party.

Pindros' remarks reflect a slightly different position from the position of Torah Judaism, which last week sent messages to the Prime Minister's Office stating that it would not oppose the formation of a government with the support or avoidance of Ra'am chairman Mansour Abbas.

Pindros he represents the hawkish voice in Torah Judaism, and in the election campaigns there was confidence among other things in the voices of audiences in religious Zionism.

It is possible that his statement was intended to prevent a situation of downgrading votes for Torah Judaism in the next election against religious Zionism led by Bezalel Smutrich, who is making a firm voice against such a possibility, thus completely thwarting it.

Compared to Pindros, party chairman Moshe Gafni attacked Smutrich this morning for preventing the formation of a government backed by the PM.

Gafni told the Yated Ne'eman newspaper that Smutrich is like the Sikriks, and in his behavior will cause "there to be a government that is largely anti-religious or that there will be fifth elections whose results are unknown, instead of preserving the world of Torah, education and Jewish tradition."

Within the ultra-Orthodox bloc, religious Zionism was the main party that spoke out against the support of the RAAM. On Tuesday, Smutrich clarified after Abbas' speech that his party "will not be a partner in a government that actively relies on or avoids the RAAM or other supporters of terrorism." With Abbas. "

In a long post he published, Smutrich accused that "the whitewashing attempts of the Islamic movement by certain elements on the right reflect blindness and dangerous and irresponsible myopia."

The significance of cooperating with RAAM, he added, "is that they become legitimate partners even though they do not abandon their national ambition."
