Warriors and training units will take part in a pilot that will last three months • The obligation to wear masks will be removed in training and activities in the open, but will continue as usual in enclosed spaces
IDF soldiers can smile:
IDF combat and training units will be exempt from wearing masks in activities in open areas starting tomorrow (Monday), in accordance with the IDF's request and the approval of the Ministry of Health.
As part of a three-month pilot, the obligation to wear masks during training and outdoor activities will be removed.
This relief is conditional on at least ninety percent of the participating soldiers being vaccinated against or recovering from the corona virus.
At the end of the time allotted for the pilot, it will be considered whether it is possible to continue in the same format.
All activities will take place while maintaining the existing rules of gathering and social distance, and all activities in enclosed spaces will be carried out while wearing masks.
