Sweida-Sana
The plastic art and the stages of the formation of the artwork formed the basis of Dirasat 4, which is hosted by the Art Forum Gallery in the city of Sweida, a love tribute to the artist, sculptor Fouad Abu Assaf.
The exhibition, which includes about 60 works by 11 artists, as the owner of Art Forum, the artist Nasser Obeid, explains to the SANA reporter. It consists of studies with pencils, charcoal or sketching of early and almost finished works.
Ebeid explains that the exhibition is titled Studies because it sets the initial idea of the work, whether it was sculpted, engraved, or an oil painting of a small size, and then when it takes the composition, idea, rhythm, balance, and shape of the painting, so that the artist moves in order to transform it into a work of art in its final form.
The artist sculptor Fouad Abu Assaf expressed his thanks for the initiative of the exhibition by honoring him, as the works presented in it came in a high level, and the participants in it are professionals and of a very high level even of those of small artistic age, pointing out his participation in three paintings of studies of sculptural works on the basis of the idea on which the exhibition is held.
Artist Asma Al-Hennawi, who is participating in eight studies of charcoal faces, thinks that the exhibition is aesthetically pleasing, as it is a little out of the ordinary. Exhibitions are often for oil paintings and because it is a quick studies exhibition that allows seeing the ability of the artist's hand and his works in general.
As for the artist, Julnar Al Sarihi, a student at the Faculty of Fine Arts in the fourth year of the Department of Painting, she participated with nine rapid studies of different materials of male and female figures from reality with materials of oil, lead, charcoal and pastel dialogue, considering the exhibition an important opportunity for the artist to present himself and his work.
The plastic artist Nidal Khwais, one of the guests of the exhibition, said that the works involved in them a lot of innovation, research and beauty factors.
Artists Ayman Fadda Radwan, Hikmat Tawfiq Naim, Yasser Khattar and Dana Obeid will participate in the exhibition, in addition to the guests are Anwar Al-Rahbi, Saed Salloum and Adnan Hamida.
