Plastic Art and its Relationship to Architecture The title of the first day of the university’s festival for science, culture and arts, which was opened at Al-Wadi University in the Wadi Al-Nadari district of Homs, with the participation of the Wadi University branch of the National Union of Syrian Students, the Union of Plastic Artists, the Association of Al-Adiyat and Friends of Expatriates and the Directorate of Culture of Homs.

On the first day, about 30 artists participated with 42 paintings from various expressive, abstract and classical art schools.

Dr. Bashir Elias, President of the University, talked about the importance of the first cultural festival that the university holds, which combines science, culture and the arts, which are considered the most important branches of civilization for the advancement of peoples.

According to Elias, the opening was devoted to the Engineering Day, which embodies the role of plastic art in developing architecture, which in turn will positively affect students and those interested in architecture in order to improve their projects and future work, as well as the opening of exhibitions for architecture, plastic art and stationery.

In turn, Ghadeer Bashir, President of the National Union of Syrian Students, Al-Wadi University Branch, referred to the participation of students and many activities from outside the university in this festival, which achieves the principle of linking the university with the community and motivates students to continue their scientific progress to inform them of artistic experiences that contribute to the advancement of engineering architecture.

Fine artist Samira Medawar, a member of the Fine Artists Union branch in Homs, expressed during her participation in the festival a lecture on the philosophy and concept of art and its definition of her happiness with it, indicating that architecture is one of the branches of fine arts and that plastic art must be linked to architecture and life as a whole.

For his part, Muhammad Bilal Al-Sufi, a participant in the stationery department, explained that the festival is an opportunity for students to help them through offers suitable for them in light of the high prices.

Susanna Sarah, responsible for the children's drawing workshops, indicated that 40 children and girls from Marmarita schools in Wadi Al-Nadari and Al-Ghassaniyya in Homs participated, indicating that they interacted very well with these workshops and expressed their talent through the free drawings that they presented in pastel, wood and charcoal colors.

The Life Skills Choir gave a concert on the university's amphitheater and eight lectures were held on the golden ratio of aesthetics between mathematics and nature - plastic art and architecture - the philosophy of plastic art and its schools and the most important pioneers - the use of architectural spaces in color - ancient Syrian architecture - man and memory of the place - ancient temples of Syria - and architecture Future and affected by technical schools.
