Has Alain Robert found a successor?
According to the video posted on Youtube on Saturday, it could well be that the famous climber now 58 years old sees a follower, much younger, compete with him on his land.
Finally, way of speaking… "I climb the Montparnasse Tower with my bare hands (210 meters)".
Alexis Landot, a 21-year-old climber, appears from the first seconds of this nearly 15-minute video.
A young dark-haired man like any other, and who could be one more commuter who goes to the Montparnasse side to take a train.
Except that the one stops at an original station.
And more than dangerous.
"For this escalation, I prepared myself several months, so especially not to reproduce," he warns.
“I would do well a little Icetea. The rests are not obvious ”…“ Come on, let's make it three (floors) by three ”…
Alexis Landot
We see him wrap his hands with a sort of black adhesive tape, push protective barriers and launch out, without hesitation, but certainly not without apprehension.
White t-shirt, black stockings and off he went for a 210-meter climb.

And again the hands then the feet.
And so on.
And even.
And always.
Window after window.
Always in the same axis.
A pause of a few seconds and he leaves.
Like a human spider.
Glued to the glass and metal wall.
The camera he wears on his head films his face which is reflected in the windows of the giant building and in the background Paris which is spread out at his feet.
"It feels good a little windy, it's hot ... We tame the structure, come on we redo five floors ..." I would do a little Ice tea.
The rests are not obvious ”…“ Come on, let's make it three (floors) by three ”…
The floors are linked, breathing accelerates the higher the altitude.
Police sirens are heard.
And police arrive at the bottom of the building as the young climber comes to half of his challenge.
A lunar exchange sees him talking with a person inside the Tower who asks him if all is well.
Spectators encourage him from below.
“I have to stay focused”.
The last floors are finally swallowed.
Two security people waiting for him at the top send him a rope for the last meter but he refuses it.
Until the end alone with his challenge.
And his fate, the slightest mistake can be fatal without the slightest rope.
Breathless, Alexis Landot climbed the last railing to complete a climb "much faster than expected".
49 minutes for a successful ultimate challenge… And certainly not to copy.
Arrested after his ascent, the young climber should be auditioned at the end of April for "endangering the lives of others".
His in this case.
But surely not enough to cool him down, he who has already climbed the highest crane in France ...
