For this colossal operation, the State asked the regional health agency, the departmental council of Seine-Saint-Denis, the Stade de France consortium, the town hall of Saint-Denis, the Paris fire brigade ( BSPP) and the Croix-Rouge association.

Who can get vaccinated?

The target population of the Stade de France vaccinodrome is the same as for the other centers.

Those who can make an appointment are, for the moment, people over 70 years old, health professionals, people 50 to 54 years old with one or more comorbidities, people 18 to 74 years old. at very high risk of developing a severe form of Covid-19.

This last category of patients must have a medical prescription.

This center is intended for the population of the whole Ile-de-France but 50% of the appointments are reserved for the inhabitants of Seine-Saint-Denis, the department hardest hit by the disease.

“If some come from further afield, we won't refuse them.

But we do not want there to be any loss of opportunity for the inhabitants of Seine-Saint-Denis, ”specifies Manon Daubas, responsible for vaccination for the departmental council.

For the inhabitants of the department, the population concerned by the vaccinations could also be enlarged.

How to make an appointment?

The departmental council, in charge of making appointments, manages a platform on Doctolib.fr.

50% of the appointments are directly accessible there and the other half are intended for the inhabitants of 93. The latter can telephone a single number (01.43.93.78.77), six days a week, from 9 am to 6.30 pm.

At the end of the line, there will be one of the 54 students recruited by the department to facilitate appointment scheduling.

This Monday noon, 2,000 calls had already been received.

Communities can also send them a list of residents to organize meetings afterwards.

How Stade de France is preparing to become a vaccinodrome

Who will be the vaccinators?

The assembly of the center was entrusted to the French Red Cross.

The association had two weeks to develop the circuit for the patients and organize the schedules.

Some of its employees will perform injections in addition to nurses and liberal doctors as well as a dozen firefighters from the Paris fire brigade (BSPP).

"When we are at cruising speed, the goal is that around a hundred firefighters are directly involved in vaccination in Paris and in the inner

suburbs

, including our future center in Masséna

(Editor's note: Paris 13th)

", indicates a door - speech of the BSPP, specifying that the majority of these staff come from "operational units such as fire groups".

What will the public circuit be like?

Arrival is via gate E of the stadium.

Once inside, people with reduced mobility will go to a room on the ground floor to receive the injection.

The majority of vaccinations will take place in the basement: 15 boxes, under tents stamped "Saint-Denis town hall", have been placed in a large room usually dedicated to business seminars.

Here, the patient will be welcomed and then taken to a pre-vaccination consultation.

He will receive a dose of vaccine and then wait fifteen minutes for observation.

And the vaccine circuit?

Pfizer and Moderna vaccines have demanding storage and transport conditions.

“The doses arrive from the freezer located at the Robert-Ballanger hospital in Aulnay-sous-Bois, then are stored in two types of refrigerator, explains Florent Vallée.

The preparers will get the doses for the next two hours and put them in syringes, then they bring them to the vaccinators.

"

What guarantee on the supply of doses?

As of Friday, all the slots available to get vaccinated with the Pfizer product had already been reserved.

This Monday afternoon, on the other hand, very few appointments had been made for a vaccination with the Moderna product.
