Two activists from the National Rally (RN) were attacked and assaulted on Sunday, April 4 in the morning while they were distributing leaflets at the Halles de Saint-Nazaire, reports

Five individuals, probably belonging to the anti-fascist movement, initially called on the two activists to leave the place before insulting them and then beating them.
One of the two RN activists, 49, was severely beaten while on the ground, and threatened with death,
former city councilor Gauthier Bouchet, a candidate for the election
, told
France Bleu
. departmental election, which accompanied it.

Benoit Glotin, who was evacuated to Saint-Nazaire hospital by firefighters, suffers from an open ankle fracture.
He should leave the hospital on Monday and file a complaint at the Saint-Nazaire police station, as Gauthier Bouchet has already done.

An investigation for "violence in meetings" was opened.
