(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 05 - The school reopens on Tuesday with a small advantage: 68% of the school staff, including professionals, have been vaccinated with at least one dose.
On 7 April, therefore, 6 out of 10 pupils will return to their classes, equal to 5.3 million out of just over 8 million in total.
The return to school in attendance as a priority of the moment, made clear by Prime Minister Draghi, will have the effect of bringing back millions of students who until before the Easter break were distance learning.
The new decree launched by the government in fact provides for the school in the orange areas up to the sixth grade and from the seventh grade and for the entire high school cycle in attendance at 50%.
While in the red areas they will attend all the pupils up to the first average, from the second average onwards.
Furthermore, the decree also provides that the Regions will not be able to issue more restrictive decisions in the school environment by decreeing the closure of the activity in presence.
At the same time, a way is being studied to monitor the epidemiological situation in schools: sample tests, for example, to ensure constant monitoring, track down any positive events, interrupt the chain of contagion and have the tracking of cases in a precise and rapid way.
The Ministry of Education is also building a Plan with Regions, Provinces and Municipalities for the implementation of educational activities by schools in the period from June to September.
The calendar foresees projects in June focused on the recovery of learning, in September on welcoming and in the months of July and August on socialization and recreational aspects.
In the summer (in July and August) the activity for the school staff and students will be on a voluntary basis while, as regards the projects, each school will be able to make the choices in absolute autonomy.
The new map from 7 April will see 3.2 million students (37.6%) who will continue to follow in dad from home and 5.3 million in classrooms, equal to 62.3%.
Specifically - the calculations made by them Allschool - should therefore be 5,296,519, the students of state and equal schools who will be able to follow the lessons in presence out of a total of 8 million and 506 thousand.
The data also include about 1.4 million pre-school children excluded from school-based educational activities for weeks.
The regions most affected by this reopening in attendance are Lombardy with 785.910 in attendance (and 615.903 in dad), Lazio with 687.592 (and 133.737 in dad), Campania with 484.731 (e460.262 in dad), Tuscany with 265.966 (238.650 in dad), ilVeneto with 373.003 in presence (307.093 in dad).
With the almost totality of pupils in attendance (82-83%) the Islands: Sicily with 614.891 and Sardinia with 170.004.
With reference to the various school sectors, didactic activities at school will follow 1,393,010 children in kindergarten (100%), 2,605,865 primary pupils (100%), 906,011 pupils of lower secondary school (52.9% ) and partially alternating at 50% 407,304 high school students (14.6%).
