The crime of a 34-year-old businessman and the suicide of a 25-year-old former judoka caused a commotion in San Salvador de Jujuy, and now they are investigating whether the
two deaths are related
.
A message on the Facebook wall of the murdered man's sister increases suspicions about the former athlete.
“So much injustice, so much evil.
You helped how they taught us, how they raised us.
You were faithful to us, to be good people, that's how they paid you ...
Everything will come to light
, sooner or later.
This pain is not gratuitous, it leaves us a lesson ”, Ofelia, Franco Ovando's sister (34), or Piola, as they called the young entrepreneur in the ice cream parlor, posted on his wall.
Ovando
was stabbed to death
early Saturday in an apartment in the Ciudad de Nieva neighborhood in San Salvador de Jujuy.
Hours later, Franco Barrios (25), who
was the Argentine judo champion
, called his relatives to say goodbye and threw himself into the void from a downtown building: his body was left on the dome of the Annuar shopping mall.
Franco Barrios committed suicide hours after Ovando was killed.

The crime of Ovando and the suicide of Barrios are investigated by the prosecutor Diego Cussel, who tries to determine
if the athlete murdered his friend
.
According to the
Jujuy Police
portal
, the provincial police chief, commissioner Horacio Herbas Mejías, implied that the former athlete murdered the businessman
during an argument
, and that a woman left minutes before the department where the fight took place.
According to forensic doctors, Ovando had at least
eight stab wounds
in his body and in his apartment the experts found blood stains on the walls and some objects.
The Jujuy news portal also indicated that that Saturday morning, Barrios was in a department of Belgrano at 500, where there were four or five other people from his environment and that of Ovando, and that, after spending
several hours
there, he would have gone up to the terrace of the building from which he jumped into the void.
In turn, the police seized
three cell phones
that belonged to Barrios, Ovando and a young woman.
"
My soul is broken
, destroyed to see you and see everything that is happening", was part of the farewell message from Ovando's sister and closed: "
My brother helped the wrong people
! Anyway, here I am! You! True to being good people! "
