The Arab Teacher Magazine, issued by the Ministry of Education, recently witnessed fundamental changes affecting its chapters and topics in form and content, as well as activating its offices in the governorates and making room for intellectuals, academics, writers and poets to write in it as a scientific, literary, knowledge and creative platform.
To shed light on the reality of the magazine, its director, Samar Tohme, the first instructor of the Arabic language course at the Ministry of Education, spoke about the march of the Arab teacher since the beginning of the sixties of the last century, to be the second magazine in Syria in terms of its date of issue, which is still working after the magazine of the Arabic Language Academy
Tohme explained that the work team based on the magazine seeks to restore its glory, noting that in this regard, a dialogue seminar was organized that included more than 100 writers, writers and intellectuals to present their ideas, visions and proposals for the advancement of the magazine.
Parallel to these steps, Arab teacher offices were activated in various governorates to communicate with cultural circles and creators to illuminate their literary and intellectual productions, in addition to mandating the magazine's correspondents to visit all schools, closely touching the teachers ’concerns inside the classroom, and lighting up talented students and pupils who possess the spirit of creativity.
The director of Al-Moallem Al-Arabi magazine noted that Syria is full of talents and creations that urgently need to be uncovered, defined, adopted and supported, as it will be one of the most important pillars of the future reconstruction of Syria.
Tohme explained that the magazine, which is issued periodically every semester, with 2000 copies, has taken on as a result of these efforts and important steps a new look in form and content, and is continuing to take on broader horizons and greater spread, with the current quest for an international number to make this magazine international.
