At 11 am today (5th), the police received a report that a man jumped from Ap Lei Chau Bridge and fell to the center of the sea. Fortunately, a sampan was passing by and found that the victim had fallen into the sea. It immediately approached and rescued him.

According to reports, the male victim was once in a coma. The ambulanceman arrived and rushed him to Queen Mary Hospital.

The case was classified as an attempted suicide.

The sister-in-law of the sampan pointed out that she saw the victim struggling in the water after jumping into the sea. She immediately threw the life jacket into the center of the sea, "I saw that the sampan jumped off, and he knew how to climb (paddling), so I pulled a life jacket right away. Let me go and behave, so I can hold it, and I will put another rope to behave." The sister-in-law said that afterwards, other witnesses came to help and pulled the victim onto the sampan, waiting for the firefighter to come and rescue. She smiled and said, "It is better to save a life than to eat for three years!".

My sister-in-law has been driving a sampan for more than 40 years. This is not the first time I rescued a person who fell into the sea. About 2 to 3 years ago, he also rescued a person who fell into the sea. Tie to jump off. Lucky is dead, and someone else rescues her!"

After investigation by the police, the 22-year-old man, whose surname was Yu, received a report from a passer-by who alleged that he had fallen into the sea at the upper site and was rescued by the crew of a nearby vessel.

The ambulancemen arrived at the scene, and the victim was soberly sent to Queen Mary Hospital for treatment.

The police did not seize the suicide note at the scene.
