They are very inspiring, just like Francis Joyon.

I tell myself that I am still in the prime of life, explained the 47-year-old sailor.

Guys like Jean, Yannick and Jérémie Beyou are far from over, and neither am I.

In the Vendée Globe, I want to have a good sporting performance, but that's not all.

It's too tough a race, too engaging to just aim for victory.

I also want to share the adventure, to talk about social and ecology.

Today, it's a real goal to continue doing my job as long as possible.

The three-time winner of the Solitaire du Figaro took part in two editions of the Vendée Globe, in 2008-2009 (retirement due to a fractured femur) and 2016-2017 (5th place).
