Argentina recorded a record number of daily coronavirus cases, which reached 20,870 today, at a time when the country is exposed to a second wave of infection.
This brought the total number of infections in Argentina to about 2.43 million since the start of the pandemic, according to World Meter.
The country also recorded 163 deaths during the past 24 hours, bringing the total deaths to 56,634.
In recent months, Argentina took measures to open up its ailing economy after a strict lockdown last year.
