The avalanche of
coronavirus
cases
in the schools of Sarmiento de Junín, Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata, Racing Club, Independiente and Banfield, among others, forced the
Argentine Football Association to
make the decision on Tuesday 6 to announce the return to Phase 1 in relation to health protocols.
This means that footballers and technical bodies must more strictly respect all the measures suggested to prevent the advance of COVID-19, especially in the context of the arrival of a second wave in Argentina that promises to put the whole of society in check.
According to what was reported from the AFA, in this new stage the professionals will have to mobilize individually, in their respective vehicles.
Nor will they be able to share changing rooms to bathe or concentrate on the preview of the matches.
"We must try not to stop First Division football and the Promotion categories. We are in a very difficult moment. Each one from their place has to contribute to generate the measures," said the president of Lanús,
Nicolás Russo
, to the exit from the AFA building, on Viamonte street.
"We have to go back to how we were on August 10, when we started with all this. Everyone has to become aware, no one can be with a revolver behind each leadership, each one must take the appropriate measures," added the leader .

This Tuesday, the last case that finished lighting the alarms in the football environment was the contagion of Julio César Falcioni, DT of Independiente, as he was a risk patient.
