The group “As a Prophecy Comes” by the poet Mahmoud Aziz Ismail carries a lot of sadness and deep sadness in poems, most of which take the form of a modern Arabic poem with some vertical texts.

The group's poems tend to poetic modernity through winged images and innovative linguistic structures in the new relationships between things, in addition to the high poetic music that gave the poems a lyrical tone between form and content.

It appears from the first text that came as an alternative to the dedication of the poetic line that the poet drew for himself through wide linguistic spaces through which he flew high, where he says: “My water has never betrayed its banks… never did I change my path… the course of the river has narrowed .. and my sky has expanded.”

In the second poem, the poet Ismail's wounds open, Letters from Yamam, which he did not tell us that it is an elegy for his brother, the late poet Issa Ismail, but the reader discovers this himself before he reaches the poet’s quote from the late Zawada al-Mu’ma group that won the praise of critics and prizes for literary competitions in the nineties of the last century.

The emotional concern is occupied by many poems, as in “On the Veranda of the Heart” through images full of love, warmth and nostalgia for that eternal and eternal love. He says:

"Since the universe was submerged .. since the universe was water .. I have been in my heart longing .."

And longing and craving ”as reflected in the group the patriotism that appears in the poems praising the heroism of the martyrs and their sacrifices.

The collection issued by the Syrian General Authority for Book is located in 111 pages of medium size. It is mentioned that the poet Ismail was born in Al Sharqia in Jabla and he is a member of the Arab Writers Union.
