While distance education has just started for the majority of students in France - with a major crash of computer servers - schools have remained open to accommodate these 3-16 year olds whose parents exercise a "priority" profession.

To benefit from this system, one of the parents must be part of the “personnel essential to the management of the health crisis”.

They must complete a sworn certificate stating that they have "no custody solution".

During the first confinement, 30,000 children were able to continue to attend school.
