Luca app only if they all use it

It is touted as a relief in contact recording, without which it is probably not possible in these times: the Luca app.

It should enable unbureaucratic, paperless access to events or restaurants.

There is still no permit in the district, instead there is great skepticism.

  • There is also discussion in the Weilheim-Schongau district as to whether the Luca app should be introduced

  • We asked around at the trade association, the hotel and restaurant association and event organizers

  • Not everyone thinks an app is necessary if one is introduced, but then please, uniformly, so the request

District -

Andreas Kosian, head of the Plantsch municipal company in Schongau, recently raved about the Luca app and praised it with the highest tones.

“With the app, visits to events, restaurants or cultural institutions can be processed extremely quickly and securely and without the otherwise mountains of paper”, says Kosian.

He wanted the district to step on the gas and the connection to the health department to work quickly, because without that it would not work.

The contact data should be transmitted in encrypted form.

Chains of contagion could be traced without much effort.

Install the app, register, scan the QR code at the entrance, and automatically log out when you leave.

The data would only be visible and evaluated by the health department in the event of an infection.

You can also create a QR code for private meetings.

"The physical registration in the shop has worked so far"

"We no longer have the time to react, we have to act," said Josef Wiedemann, deputy district chairman at the trade association and local chairman for Weilheim.

As for the app, he is rather unsure.

“The focus is on protecting health, if it is used, then basically yes.” He asks how one should deal with people who are skeptical of the registration system or who are not so technologically savvy.

“That leads to discussions,” he fears.

“Can and must I then send this person away?” With Click & Meet, the physical registration has worked flawlessly so far, the owner of Musikhaus Wiedemann simply noted down the customer's name and telephone number - that's it.

With the app, on the other hand, there is a technical effort and a certain administration behind it.

“It doesn't run fully automatically.” Last but not least, there must be a common and reliable solution for all business people.

Other apps are currently also available, such as the “May I go in” app.

"Please no different apps"

This is also listed by Katharina Haller, deputy district chairman at the Bavarian Hotel and Restaurant Association.

"A registration app is definitely a relief, but at least one should come to an agreement across the district, 20 different apps are insane." The landlady of the Sonne restaurant in Peißenberg believes that far too little has been clarified.

“Can I then demand that everyone has this app?

And can I ask for a test?

And can I still enter manually if someone doesn't have the app? ”Haller is also skeptical: In Munich she can imagine the app very well, but in the country people know each other and usually have to make a reservation anyway.

And hotel guests would also be registered when they register.

In any case, the app is currently your least concern: “I'm totally depressed, there's no point in opening it again.

All of Bavaria should be turned into a corona pilot project. "

"If the app gives you the feeling that you are actively participating in life again, then we are in"

Stephan Kögl finds the effort involved in registering his guests in the cowshed, the cultural stage in the Schwabbrucker Schäferwirt, anything but dramatic.

And in principle he would support the Luca app if it really made it easier, since the note and pen are more from the last century.

“But we are so over-bureaucratized, there doesn't seem to be any easy solutions, and there is already another hurdle,” says the innkeeper.

In his opinion, it makes absolutely no sense to drive in two directions, i.e. electronic plus manual registration.

"But for everyone to accept the app, you would have to offer people a bit of security," he alludes to data protection.

In contrast to the optimist Andreas Kosian, he feels not only hope, but also tiredness.

"But everything that gives us the feeling of actively participating in life again, we are very happy to be part of it."
