This is part of a package of proposals on liberal civic issues promoted by Yisrael Beiteinu in the new Knesset.

Lieberman stated in the election campaign that he would promote legislation that would limit the tenure of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu under indictments, and he is now trying to fulfill that promise.

In the Knesset, he is usually required to control the process of advancement, even before the formation of the government, but if the proposal is advanced, factions are expected to support it, there is a future, Meretz and Labor.
