Runaway, this Easter weekend, on social networks, and more particularly on Twitter, about the fouling and ugliness of the French capital.
Supporting photos and videos, the hashtag #saccageparis has given rise to numerous reactions to the degraded state of the city's streets and some of its monuments.
@JCQDSE (Twitter)
“Only 1 year separates these 2 photos of the avenue de l'Opéra, 1 year brothel… March 2020, March 2021”
, @ romain_fr84 is scared.
One shows the famous thoroughfare of the 1st arrondissement with an unobstructed perspective on the Opéra Garnier, a late 19th century masterpiece.
On the other, a year later: rows of concrete bollards and yellow plastic pads serving as dividers, in the middle of the roadway, distinguishing the cycle path from the lane for cars, obstruct the view.
An orange marking on the ground, used to orient the bikes, further accentuates the incongruity of these installations, swearing with the aesthetics of this Haussmannian avenue with a homogeneous architecture.
