Yahoo announced that it will close the "Yahoo Insure" service, one of the longest-running and most famous question-and-answer platforms on the Web, on the fourth of next May, when it will be redirected to Yahoo's home page.
According to the "The Verge" technical website, Yahoo announced the change at the top of the main page of "Yahoo Insure", which has been operating since 2005, where the message is linked to common questions that clarify the timetable for the closure and therefore, as of April 20, the platform will not accept new requests .
Yahoo gave users a deadline until June 30 to request their data, otherwise, access to it will not be available after that, including all user-generated content, a list of questions and answers, and pictures.
The site explained that the reason for closing the platform is that it has become less popular over the years and because the company decided to shift its resources away from the product to focus on products that better serve its members.
