The ARS requests the deprogramming of non-urgent operations in Isère and Savoie

their capacity in critical care beds

” to cope with the expected rise in patients of Covid-19.

In a press release, the ARS invites these structures to deprogram "

their non-urgent operating and intervention activities in order to be able to quickly arm additional resuscitation or medicine beds to accommodate the influx of serious COVID patients

".

"

These deprogramming must concern, at a minimum, 50% of surgical and interventional activities

", she adds.

Pediatrics, transplants and oncology are not affected by these deprogramming.

A similar request was sent on March 26 to establishments located in the Rhône Nord Isère zone (including the Rhône, Vienne and Bourgoin-Jallieu) managed by the Hospices Civils de Lyon as well as in the Loire.

The incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants is currently 360 in Savoie and 406 in Isère according to data from Public Health France.

This Tuesday, the ARS also announced that 1,103,000 inhabitants of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes out of nearly 8 million had received at least one dose of vaccine against Covid-19.
