The Population and Immigration Authority announced that starting tomorrow (Wednesday), the criteria for the entry of foreigners into Israel will be updated.

The guidelines have been updated in light of the decline in the corona plague in Israel and the significant drop in the percentage of verified daily.   

It should be emphasized that the guidelines are valid regarding the entry of foreigners into Israel, and with regard to the entry of Israeli citizens or residents, the guidelines of the Ministry of Health must be read on the "Aviation during Corona" website.

According to the new guidelines, which will take effect tomorrow, any foreigner who wishes to enter the country will be required to undergo a PCR test with a negative finding for the corona virus performed up to 72 hours before leaving the country of origin and subject to further testing upon arrival in Israel.

In addition, entrants will be required to present health insurance (including a clause covering corona disease).

A foreigner who leaves the country before the end of isolation without special permission violates the laws of the State of Israel and his next entry will not be approved.

A foreigner entering Israel (even if it is recovering or vaccinated) is required to undergo the isolation and testing conditions in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health, including performing a serological test and electronic supervision as required (using a dedicated app or self-funded electronic bracelet).

Only in exceptional cases, it will be possible to submit an application to the Committee for Entry into Israel without a PCR test for the corona virus.

It should be emphasized that she will not be allowed on the plane without obtaining prior approval from the Population and Immigration Authority or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

The cases in which the entry of foreigners into Israel will be approved exceptionally and after examination:

Immunized or recovering strangers:

• A citizen or permanent resident who centers his life abroad and has a first-degree family member in Israel can come with the spouse and their children to visit Israel, even if they are foreigners.

A foreigner who has a first-degree Israeli family member (citizen or permanent resident) residing in Israel, may come with the spouse and their children to visit Israel.

• All foreigners wishing to enter Israel must prove vaccination or recovery (except infants up to one year of age).

Foreigners who are not vaccinated or recovering:

• A foreigner married to an Israeli citizen or permanent resident (who is not in a graduated procedure) and their minor children who meet the following cumulative conditions. 

• Foreigners residing abroad for whom an application for a marital relationship has been submitted by virtue of the procedure graded by Israeli citizens or permanent residents, they will be allowed to enter after receiving approval from the Bureau of the Treating Population Administration and meeting the relevant procedure.
