The "Ishtar Creates" festival, which is being held by the Culture Palace in Baniyas, in its fourth year, attracted visitors from various regions of the city and its countryside, as it included a wide variety of crafts, handicrafts, cottage industries and crochet, in addition to participation in painting, poetry and singing.

The festival, which lasted three days and concludes its activities today with the participation of 40 different talents from Baniyas, Damascus and Salamiyah, comes to celebrate the Syrian New Year, as confirmed by the festival coordinator, plastic artist Mays Mustafa, in her interview with SANA's correspondent, explaining that the name “Ishtar Creates” is an affirmation of the dedication and creativity of the Syrian woman. Mustafa pointed out that she shared two paintings, one about nature and the other about women in oil colors.

The artist, Rola Haddad, participating in the festival and also among the coordinators, drew attention to the importance of exhibitions in highlighting artistic talents, exchanging ideas and developing them, explaining that she participated with two oil paintings that tell about the inner worlds of women and their feelings.

Rosalyn Primo, who has participated in the festival more than once, has indicated that he has a major role in developing her craft, which is the doubt of beads, accessories and embroidery, noting the importance of exhibitions in getting to know the audience face to face, listening to their opinions, and keeping up with their requirements and tastes.

Mayada Deeb, who is involved in various handicrafts, “crochet”, “crowns” and accessories, and “swimming pools”, talked about the importance of these crafts, which are a source of income for a large number of women.

It is noteworthy that the festival included singing and poetic performances presented by Naimi Suleiman, Ibrahim Hammoud and Ali Kaddah.
