The LVMH Prize invites you to choose its next finalists

The prize for young fashion designers from the LVMH group unveils a digital platform on which it is possible to vote, until April 11, for their favorite candidate.


For its eighth edition, the LVMH Prize, born in 2013, innovates.

This year, the public is called to vote online, from April 6 to 11, for their favorite young talent among the 20 semi-finalists, chosen from more than 1900 candidates from 110 countries.

Thus becoming one of the experts of the most

bankable

selection committee in

the profession, made up of around sixty members including journalists from around the world, buyers, stylists and even celebrities such as Léa Seydoux and Bella Hadid.

This semi-final will be entirely digital, and we wanted it to be open to as many people as possible

," explains Delphine Arnault, deputy general manager of Louis Vuitton, at the origin of the competition.

For the first time, the LVMH Prize will give voice to the public.

Among the brands in the running, a few names that have made people talk about them this year: Charles de Vilmorin, sensation of the last week of Parisian couture recently appointed at the head of the Rochas collections, Christopher John Rogers, who designed the outfit worn by Kamala Harris on her inauguration last January, and Bianca Saunders, British designer of menswear whose collections are scrutinized each season by the industry.

All the semi-finalists integrate a responsible approach into their creative vision: use of innovative or traditional materials, upcycling, recourse to recycled fibers, artisanal and local approaches,

justifies Delphine Arnault.

These initiatives resolutely echo the turn taken by the fashion and luxury industries

A priori before the summer, the eight finalists will meet the prestigious jury made up of the artistic directors of the group (Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton, Maria Grazia Chiuri for Dior, Jonathan Anderson for Loewe, Kris Van Assche for Berluti ...).

The lucky winner of the prize will receive personalized mentoring from the LVMH teams over a year, as well as a reward of € 300,000.

Another distinction, the Karl Lagerfeld prize will distinguish another of these young shoots thanks to an endowment of 150,000 €, accompanied by the support of the group.
