The COVID-19 epidemic continues to ease. Today, there are 7 new confirmed cases, 4 of which are imported cases, and 3 local cases are related to the remaining cases. There are no cases of unknown origin. There are a total of 11 532 cases in Hong Kong.

The 3 local cases were reported to be living in Wah Tong House, Yau Tong Village. They were the family members of a 32-year-old male Fortress Mong Kok clerk whose source was unidentified yesterday. Among them, the 12-day-old baby boy was also diagnosed as the youngest patient so far.

The other 4 imported cases were from India and Pakistan.

In addition, there are less than 10 preliminary confirmed cases in Hong Kong today.

Yesterday, a Mong Kok Fortress male employee (#11512) living in Hua Tong Building, Yau Tong Village, was diagnosed with the source of the infection unknown. Yesterday’s epidemic press conference pointed out that the man lived at the same address with 5 family members. The patient’s wife was at 3 She gave birth at United Hospital on the 24th, and her wife tested negative when she was admitted to the hospital.

The 3 local cases confirmed today are all living in Wah Tong House, Yau Tong Village. They are a 31-year-old female (#11529) with no symptoms, a 7-year-old girl (#11530) who became ill yesterday, and a girl who became ill the day before and was only 12 days old. Baby boy (#11531).

The Department of Health added that the three cases are all family members of the 11512th case (the 32-year-old male employee of Fengze in Mong Kok who was diagnosed yesterday).

Looking at the data, the baby boy who was only 12 days old is the youngest patient since the outbreak last year.

Today, there are still 4 imported cases, 3 from India to Hong Kong, and one from Pakistan.

The 11526th case was a 39-year-old man who came to Hong Kong from India. He was a foreign domestic helper and was diagnosed with the N501Y variant virus.

The 11527th case was a 21-year-old man who was also found to have the N501Y variant virus.

The other two imported cases are still to be tested.

The 4 imported cases all arrived in Hong Kong on April 4. The 11532th case took flight UK6395, and the remaining 3 people took flight EK384.
