Eng. Alaa Shuhayeb, Assistant Director of As-Suwayda Agriculture, stated in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that 19 food processing units have been created as part of a joint project between the World Food Program and the Federation of Syrian Agricultural Chambers under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and one in cooperation with the "FAO" organization, including various products of dairy, cheese, Moroccan and other products. Grapes, vinegar, marshmallows, sweets, Arabic bread, and others, pointing out that they are distributed in the towns and villages of Khalkhala, Rasas, Salt, Atil, Mu'allaq, Kufr, Hazm, Al-Anat, Al-Qarya, Salmiya, Erra, Al-Mazraa, Qanat, Salim, Ayoun, Arman, Lahthat, Habran, Namira, Shahba, and the city of Shahba.

Shehayeb indicated that working in these units targeted women who want to work together and who suffer from a difficult financial situation and do not have a stable source of income, with priority given to families headed by a woman or there is a person with disabilities within them, as they are trained on the mechanism of work and the method of manufacturing with the provision of production equipment. And manufacturing.

On her part, the head of the Rural Women Department at the Directorate of Engineered Agriculture Mohsina Abu Samra pointed out that the aim of the modernized manufacturing units is to provide job opportunities for female breadwinners and work to spread the spirit of cooperation and participation in working within these units and to benefit from the skills of experts from the department, pointing to the need to develop these units and work to connect What it produces at outlets that are sold or marketed within the outlets of the Syrian Foundation for Trade.

During the meeting of the economic correspondent of Sana with a number of women working in the manufacturing unit of Shahba, Asala Raydan indicated that she started working about three months ago with the aim of raising her income and improving her living conditions, as she found benefit in this experience despite the difficulty in its beginning, wishing every woman who has the ability to work Not submitting to any circumstance, since this stage requires all women to work, even with simple tools, in order to develop her society and improve her income.

 In the Habran processing unit, the official Al-Hamdan said that the unit employs 12 women every day from eight in the morning until three in the afternoon, and it specializes in the manufacture of dairy and cheese in addition to additional work in preparing and processing food according to customers' requests, indicating that the unit has provided her with a job opportunity to help her educate her son with disabilities. Meanwhile, her colleague in the same unit, Safaa Abu Hamdan, expressed her satisfaction with the experience of the unit, which creates job opportunities for women and provides support for the family.
