After a series of positive results and remarkable performance, the Shabab Al-Arabi football team from Al-Suwayda governorate succeeded in climbing to the Premier League clubs after defeating Al-Sahel team in penalties 4-2 after the end of the original and additional time with a draw with a goal for the same in the decisive match that brought them together at the Al-Galaa stadium in Damascus.
In a statement to the representative of Sana Al-Riyadi, the coach of the team, Samer Al-Shaar, said, “This achievement is the culmination of ten years of work with players since they were in the young age groups, and it stems from a group of factors that contributed to it, the most important of which is the dedication of the players, their loyalty and their cooperation with the training staff as one family in addition to the support of the fans and supporters of the club. As well as the club's board of directors and the executive committee of the sports federation branch, who provided the team with support according to the available capabilities.
Al-Shaar pointed to the great efforts made by the club's cadres until the team reached this achievement over the past years, represented by coach Hussein Alamuddin, who was with the players in the Baraem stage and assistants to coach Nazih Ghanem, Qusay Murshid, administrator Ziyad al-Abdullah, and coach of the guards Nassim Maarouf in later years.
The slogan indicated that this achievement is about the aspirations and hopes of the sports fans in Sweden to ascend to a reality that reflects the level reached by the team and represents the key to the competition in the Premier League League.
Al-Arabi team represented the players Qais al-Sabbagh, Badr Harb, Alaa al-Arawi, Fadi Mahmoud, Bilal Abu Zidan, Wissam Abd al-Razzaq, Uday Nasr, Majd Faraj, Muhammad Sarhan, Hayan al-Shoufi, Yazan Murshid, Karim Abu Asali, Amir Abu Fakhr, Karam Abu al-Fadl, Michel Kandaqjian, Muhammad Sabouni, Raghid Matar, Bassam Shalwit, Nawar Radwan and Tim. Maan Ghanem, Hamza Ghanem, Hassan Qotrib, Diaa Al-Zarouni, Tamam Al-Daher, William Harb, Yazan Al-Eid, Mazen Abu Obeid and Tim Nasser Ghanem.
The team's training staff included coach Samer Al-Shaar and his assistants Yahya Al-Khaled and Youssef Nakad for the current season, administrators Wissam Abu Fakhr, Kamal Morshed, therapist Raed Humaidan, media coordinators Ihab Sarhan and Burhan Mahasin, and club supervisor Salim Masoud.
Shabab Al-Arabi team was runner-up at the end of the second leg of the second round of the youth soccer league for first-class clubs for the southern group teams after winning 11 points from three victories over the hurdle, back-to-back 5-2, the fight back 3-0, and the torch round-trip legally 3-0 in exchange for two draws in the first leg. With Al-Harjila 3-3 back and with Al-Shula negatively, Al-Arabi topped his group in the first round also with 18 points in the group that included Al-Harjela, Shahba, Al-Fatwa and Al-Nabek.
