A Holocaust denier from London with previous convictions would want a prison term for inciting hatred against Jews.
Westminster Magistrates' Court yesterday (Wednesday) sentenced Alison Shabluz, 57, to nine weeks in prison after she wrote on the social network Gab that "whatever is worth controlling, there will be Jews to control it," and that Jews are turning their children into "psychopathic lunatics." Report from the Jewish News of London.
It should be noted that imprisonment for hate speech is considered rare in the UK, where judges generally rule in favor of freedom of expression.
In 2018, Blues was sentenced to probation for writing, performing and distributing three songs about the Nazi persecution.
The first song dealt with the young diary writer Anne Frank.
In those days, the blues also sang a song in which it was said that the Holocaust was a "pile of lies."
When prosecutors played the song in court in January 2018, Blues sang along with the recording.
Following the repeat offense and breach of conditions the Westminster court decided to run the probation, and sentence her to a further nine weeks probation if she engages in racist incitement again.
