[East Rail Crossing] The cross-sea section of the East Rail Line is still set to open to traffic in the first quarter of next year. MTR will add new tracks to allow East Rail Line trains to enter the new platform of Hung Hom Station.

In order to cope with the related works, following the suspension of the Mong Kok East-Hung Hom section service twice earlier, the MTR announced that it will once again suspend the train service between Mong Kok East Station and Hung Hom Station on the 18th of this month (Sunday). For the third time, the relevant road section services were suspended.

The MTR expects to suspend the relevant sections 7 times in the future to cope with the construction.

The MTR urged passengers who need to travel between Mong Kok East Station and Hung Hom Station on the same day to plan their itinerary in advance and give priority to using alternative MTR routes to make their journey smoother.

The MTR will arrange free shuttle buses to and from Hung Hom Station and Kowloon Tong Station on the same day.

The MTR indicated that it encourages passengers to continue to switch to the Tsuen Wan Line, Kwun Tong Line or West Rail Line on April 18th, to and from Hung Hom Station and stations along the East Rail.

Passengers can use the MTR Mobile mobile app to find alternative MTR routes in advance.

In addition, the MTR will also arrange free shuttle buses on the same day to go back and forth between Hung Hom Station and Kowloon Tong Station.

As the carrying capacity of the shuttle bus is much lower than that of the railway, the operation efficiency is also affected by the road conditions. It is expected that the journey will take a long time and passengers need to pay attention.

MTR said that it will send additional staff to assist passengers on April 18, and the main stations and interchange stations of East Rail and other related railway lines will post conspicuous notices to remind passengers of related service adjustments.

The MTR will closely monitor the situation, make arrangements and arrangements for train services in a timely manner, and try its best to facilitate passenger travel.

There will also be special ticketing arrangements on the same day. If passengers have ticketing enquiries, they can go to the customer service center for assistance.

With reference to the situation during the last two suspensions of related road services, the MTR will have special ticketing arrangements during the suspension of train services from the East Mong Kok East to Hung Hom section of the East Rail.

Passengers using the Octopus, exit the gate at Hung Hom Station and continue the journey via the shuttle bus, and can enjoy half or even the entire journey for free.

West Rail passengers who do not need to take the shuttle bus can also enjoy free fare as long as they exit the gate at Hung Hom Station, but they will not be benefited if they use a one-way ticket.

As for passengers who use Kowloon Tong to exit the gate and take the shuttle bus to Hung Hom Station to connect the East and West Rail, if they use the Octopus to exit the gate, they will only be charged the fare for the exit of Kowloon Tong.
