North Korean ruler Kim Jong Un has admitted that his country is in "the worst situation ever" during a ruling party rally held today (Wednesday), according to local news agencies.
He said North Korea faces "many unprecedented challenges."
As is well known, the North Korean economy has been in a difficult situation for years, following failed leadership and US sanctions imposed due to the nuclear program.
Even the closure that began as a result of the corona morbidity situation in the country does not benefit it economically.
Kim presented to his supporters a national development plan to improve the economic situation over the next five years.
This is after he has already admitted that his moves were not successful, to say the least.
"Our economic five-year plan has completely failed in most areas. Our country is currently battling an unprecedentedly severe crisis," he said in early January.

That same month, Kim rarely addressed the residents of his country and thanked them for their faith and support "in these difficult times."
"I will work hard to bring about the new era in which the ideals and desires of our people will become a reality," he wrote.
In October 2020, the ruler expressed his sorrow over the condition of his country in a tearful speech, and apologized to the residents for the failures of the government.
