Hausham - At first it was only recognizable by a few signs and barriers, but the construction site for the relocation of the Hausham level crossing can now also be heard acoustically.
The first construction phase has officially started with the milling of the asphalt surface on Schlierseer Straße.
In the coming weeks, work will mainly be done on the substructure of the roadway, explains Konrad Haindl from the Infra engineering office in Rosenheim.
The rainwater sewer, water and gas pipes are being renewed, and the floor is partially replaced with gravel.
Depending on the traffic load up to a depth of 90 centimeters to 1.10 meters.
Relocation of the level crossing from May to July
The excavators are expected to move to the other side of the railway line in mid-May in order to tackle Industriestraße Süd in a second step.
Then the first preparations for the construction of the new level crossing will take place.
For example, the foundations for masts and switchgear are poured.
The actual relocation should take place from May 28 to July 23, explains Haindl.
Reciprocal diversion of traffic
As reported, traffic is diverted alternately.
Currently on Industriestrasse.
“There is always a lane open in each direction,” emphasizes the engineer.
This is made possible by the schedule worked out for the day.
"Everyone knows exactly when to do what."
The start of the major project has been successful
The start of the major project was successful, says Haindl.
Only the necessary construction site meetings are significantly more time-consuming than usual due to the corona. But that can also be solved with good organization.
Haindl says: "In an emergency, we can just exchange ideas via video."
