said Caroline Tharot, public prosecutor of Beauvais.

One of the attackers was

“a few meters from the gendarmes' room, one of the two gendarmes ordered him to stop his progression, to no avail.

The gendarme then used his weapon against one of the attackers, injuring him, ”

The latter's vital prognosis is not engaged.

He was taken to hospital.

The second attacker was taken into custody for home invasion, aggravated violence and theft.

The Beauvais prosecutor's office said that the quality of gendarmes was known to at least one of the intruders.

One of the alleged assailants was to be summoned in particular

“on prior admission of guilt for acts of insult to a person holding public authority, in this case one of the gendarmes at whose home the acts of Tuesday occurred, ”

Colonel Tugdual Vieillard-Baron, at the head of the Oise grouping, supported the couple of gendarmes.

An investigation is underway to determine the more precise circumstances of these events.
