But not all Americans plan to get vaccinated.
While states like New York and North Dakota could vaccinate all willing adults in June, some states could take until the end of 2021, and there are two very different reasons for that gap.
A survey by the US Census Bureau found that at least one in six adults "probably" or "definitely" does not plan to get vaccinated and, in some states, up to a third of adults do not plan to get vaccinated.
Other surveys have found that vaccine hesitancy rates are even higher, reducing the vaccination line.

The most recent household pulse survey from the Census Bureau was conducted in the first two weeks of March.
For CNN's analysis, adults were judged to be willing to be vaccinated if they "received or plan to receive all required doses," or if they have not yet been vaccinated but "definitely" or "probably" plan to do so.
CNN calculated the vaccination rate using the most recent seven-day average of fully vaccinated adults reported by the CDC and population data from the Census Bureau's 2019 American Community Survey.
