This compensation seems exorbitant compared to the situation here, and it is more than generous even for the USA:

Chad Richison

(50), founder and head of the US payroll software company Paycom, received payments totaling $ 211 million last year - at least according to the information that the company made to the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

According to the Wall Street Journal, an independent analysis firm estimates the value of the manager's remuneration, which consists of fixed pay and stock options, at $ 702 million.

Either way, according to the newspaper, Richison is by far the best-paid CEO in the broad US S&P 500 stock index.

According to "WSJ", part of Richison's salary package is also a prospective share package that could add more than two billion dollars to the company's assets over the next ten years.

According to the company, this part of the remuneration only becomes effective if the share price more than doubles in the same period.

Richison is already rich in stones: The US magazine "Forbes" estimates his fortune at 2.9 billion dollars.

According to the "WSJ", the stake in Paycom that the CEO holds is currently worth $ 3.2 billion.

Richison is a majority shareholder in the company he founded in 1998 and has led since then.

Paycom specializes in the online processing of pay slips and enjoys pioneering status in this area.

According to various media, the Oklahoma City-based company is one of the fastest growing in the United States, which can also be seen in the share price.

In 2020, Paycom, which now has around 4,200 employees, increased its sales from around 737 million dollars in the previous year to around 841 million dollars.

With his remuneration, Paycom CEO Richison is not only standing out from the crowd of company bosses in the current year.

According to "WSJ", it is also one of the five thickest salary packages in the US since at least 2010. The top of this ranking is still Tesla boss

Elon Musk

(49), who, according to the newspaper, as part of his large-scale compensation plan in 2018 $ 2.3 billion came.

According to "WSJ", Apple boss

Tim Cook

(60)

ranks second

with salaries worth $ 378 million in 2011.

Compared to local customs, the paycom boss's remuneration seems downright exorbitant.

Even the heads of the largest corporations in Germany rarely get more than ten or 15 million euros in salaries a year.

Just recently, for example, an analysis of annual reports revealed that the average salaries of the CEOs of the 30 DAX companies fell by 28 percent to 5.3 million euros last year.

The top earner among the Dax bosses was Deutsche Post boss

Frank Appel

(59) with ten million euros in total remuneration.

The remuneration of

Oliver Steil

, the head of the software company Teamviewer,

is also outstanding in the German corporate

landscape.

According to the company's annual report, he received remuneration totaling more than 71 million euros last year.

Paycom boss Richison, however, is apparently quite generous about his wealth.

Last year, the billionaire joined the "Giving Pledge" initiative run by

Bill Gates,

65, and

Warren Buffett,

90, under which particularly wealthy people pledge to donate the majority of their funds.

Richison also founded the Green Shoe Foundation in 2015, according to "WSJ", a non-profit organization that provides therapists to people with childhood trauma.

In addition, his family foundation has already donated for other purposes, according to the newspaper.
