General practitioners in Bavaria and Munich are now allowed to vaccinate against corona.

The first cans arrive.

But sometimes it's more, sometimes less.

Doctors complain.

Munich - The vaccination campaign is picking up speed.

In the homes of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO), for example, all residents have already been vaccinated.

In the clinics, almost all employees received at least the first vaccination.

The general practitioners have also started vaccinating, but the start is sometimes slow.

A new era in the fight against Covid-19 - the Bavarian Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KVB) promised no less at the beginning of the week.

Because all general practitioners' practices in Bavaria that are ready to be vaccinated are now involved in the vaccination campaign.

Around 8,500 practices across Bavaria have agreed to participate.

It is not known how many of the 1,152 general practitioners in Munich are there.

Vaccinations in general practitioners' practices: Doctors complain about delivery quantities - KVB promises improvement

The vaccination is already given in Markus Frühwein's practice.

After the 20 cans of Astrazeneca last week, there were 90 cans of Biontech this week.

“As a main vaccination practice, we can also vaccinate several hundred doses a day,” says Frühwein.

He is certain: “The vaccination in the practices makes things happen.” He and his team administered 30 to 40 vaccine doses a day at noon this week.

Family doctor Alexandra Haupt has been vaccinating since Tuesday.

However, the start is rather slow here.

There were only five doses of the Biontech vaccine for that week.

“We order anew every week and don't know what and how much we're getting,” says a practice employee.

The board of the KVB promises: "The number of vaccination doses will increase significantly in the second quarter."

Vaccination progress: Munich residents accept mobile offers - nursing homes are extensively immunized

In Munich * around 259,500 vaccinations were carried out up to and including last Monday, 168,200 first and 91,300 second vaccinations.

Vaccination is also carried out by mobile teams in the elderly and service centers (ASZ).

1,600 people have already received a vaccination here.

"I am pleased that the offer of vaccinations close to home has been very well received by the elderly," says health officer Beatrix Zurek (SPD).

29 out of 30 ASZ had already had at least one vaccination day, and the appointments offered so far were almost completely booked out.

“By the end of next week, the mobile vaccination teams in 23 ASZ will be able to offer one or more additional appointments for initial vaccinations.

A mobile team can vaccinate up to 60 people per day, up to three teams are deployed per ASZ. "

The old people's and nursing homes are significantly further ahead.

All residents of the workers' welfare homes are vaccinated, says AWO boss Julia Sterzer on request.

“In the staff, everyone who wanted a vaccination is vaccinated.” That was initially almost 60 percent.

But there should be more and more interested parties.

"Overall, the situation is now very encouraging, we haven't had an infection in our homes for four weeks."

Corona vaccination in the Münchenstift: immunization at around 92 percent - willingness to vaccinate continues to increase

The situation at Münchenstift is similar.

"If we add vaccinated residents and residents who have already tested positive, we have an immunization rate of around 92 percent," says boss Sigi Benker.

Among the employees, an average of 70 percent are immunized, with the willingness to vaccinate increasing steadily.

In the 27 Caritas homes, 90 percent of the residents have already received a vaccination or are immune from having survived corona disease.

It is 60 percent for employees.

In one house of the Bavarian Red Cross it is 96 percent of the residents and over 80 percent of the employees, in another house 82 percent of the residents and around 50 percent of the employees.

95 percent of the home residents of the Inner Mission are also vaccinated, and 60 percent of the employees.

The trend is increasing here too, says a spokeswoman.

Around 4,400 of the more than 7,000 employees in the Munich Clinics received an initial vaccination.

Around 3,800 employees are vaccinated twice.

At the University Clinic on the right of the Isar, 5,050 of the 7,050 employees are currently vaccinated first and around 4,500 are second vaccinated.
