A woman hanging from the hood of her car as the vehicle drives, rather fast, on a busy boulevard.
Passers-by attended this hallucinating scene, in Asnières, boulevard Pierre-de-Coubertin, Wednesday, around 1 p.m.
The fifty-something, who was clinging to a gray Polo, was the owner.
And she had just been dislodged from the cabin by two men determined to steal her car.
What they managed to do, by the way.
This 53-year-old woman, owner of the tobacco shop at Place Le Vau, in Asnières, was joining her business when she was assaulted.
Just after the roundabout in front of the Les Agnettes metro station, when she branched off towards the boulevard, a car hit hers from behind.
Obviously, the driver dismounted to see the damage.
This was obviously the goal because immediately one of the two occupants of the other vehicle rushed behind the wheel of the Polo.
Understanding what was happening, the fifty-something slumped onto the hood to prevent the thief from fleeing.
In vain.
10,000 euros worth of cigarettes
The man accelerated, the victim still gripping.
While driving, the accomplice, driving the thieves' car, allegedly sprayed the unfortunate woman with tear gas.
After at least several tens of meters, the woman fell.
And both cars are gone.
Suffering from a broken hand, the victim was hospitalized and operated on.
"But there is something else, she can no longer walk," says her daughter, describing her mother "in shock".
It seems unlikely that the victim was chosen at random.
The tobacconist was indeed returning from his supplier, with a stock of cigarettes amounting to 10,000 euros.
So was it tracked from the supplier's warehouse?
Was she expected near Place Le Vau by criminals who knew her habits?
The investigation has only just begun.
