The “Am Grohholz” building area in Wildsteig is to be expanded.

The local council voted unanimously in favor of it.

But that is not the end of the project.

Wildsteig

- The Wildsteig City Council had to postpone the decision on the future of the “Am Grohholz” building area twice - according to reports, a necessary signature was still missing.

In the most recent meeting, the committee was able to vote on whether the project should be expanded.

The decision turned out as expected: the councils unanimously gave their blessing that 20 instead of the initially planned 13 building sites will be offered.

However, the expansion of the planning area is not yet completely dry.

Because the new development plan draft must now be re-interpreted so that authorities, citizens and public authorities can express their opinion.

As Taffertshofer already explained in a conversation with the local newspaper, the development work for the building area is going on as normal despite the new plan.

Not much has changed in the necessary preparations.

Building area on Grohholz in Wildsteig: semi-detached houses are also possible

In terms of content, there are only a few changes, as Bastian Höbel from the architecture office Abtplan explained in a local council meeting at the beginning of March.

Four of the additional buildings are to be built north of St.-Sebastian-Weg, three in the south of the construction area.

Green strips are also planned around the area.

There should also be one in the west as a demarcation to existing houses on Tassilo-Zöpf-Weg.

From there there was criticism of the new residential area.

"The green space is intended to avoid conflicts with the neighbors," explained Höbel.

Another new feature is that semi-detached houses are now also possible on four plots - a total of eight.

"Space-saving building has become important," said the planner.

He also advised that garages should be attached to the houses.

In front of these there would still be space for more cars - and thus for visitors.

Then don't park on public property.

That makes sense in a hilly and snowy area like Wildsteig.

"The fewer vehicles are on the road, the less trouble they have."

Grohholz: Then the places should be allocated

At the moment, none of the future home builders can start planning.

For this, on the one hand, the development plan must be dry.

In addition, the municipality does not begin to allocate spaces until they have been fully developed.

Taffertshofer expects sales to start in October.

The interest is already huge.

Some applications are on the table.

"These include those interested in businesses that are compatible with residential areas," said the mayor.

These include, among other things, the practices of midwives, alternative practitioners and doctors.

The future builders will probably also be able to rely on a new local heating supply.

A heating plant is planned in the residential area.

So that it can be built, enough interested parties have to be found - even beyond the new development area.

The administration has advertised this among residents, preliminary contracts were issued.

Taffertshofer hopes for a high return.

He thinks a lot of the local heating supply via wood chips: “This is a raw material from home.

This means that heating is unrivaled cheaply and climate-neutral. "
