The 74-year-old minister has been recovering since leaving hospital on April 1.

She had tested positive on March 20 "as a result of respiratory symptoms", before those around her announced on Wednesday 24 her hospitalization.

The next day, Roselyne Bachelot had indicated on her Twitter account that she had been placed under a treatment of "reinforced oxygen therapy".

“Yesterday evening, she was not feeling well enough with the dose of oxygen that was delivered to her.

Doctors have therefore decided to increase it, ”said a member of the Minister's entourage.

A first injection of vaccine three days before a positive test

Former Minister of Health, Bachelot had received a first dose of vaccine on March 17, three days before being tested positive.

She was appointed in July at the head of the Ministry of Culture, succeeding Franck Riester, who himself had contracted the virus a year ago, like several other ministers.

Elisabeth Borne (Work), 59, was also hospitalized for a few days until March 24.

Since arriving in rue de Valois, Roselyne Bachelot has had to deal with the fallout from the health crisis on the cultural world, including museums, cinema and performing arts, which have been kept closed since October 30.
