Kyaw Zwar Minn stands a little perplexed in front of the building on Charles Street in London, in front of "his" building, as he puts it.

The Myanmar ambassador has been locked out of his own diplomatic mission.

“It's a kind of coup in the middle of London.

But this coup will not succeed. "

The diplomat was recalled last month by the military junta that seized power in Myanmar on February 1.

Kyaw Zwar Minn had opposed the military and demanded the release of the disempowered former de facto head of government Aung San Suu Kyi, who has been under house arrest since the coup.

In London, the Myanmar military attaché has now apparently taken control of the embassy building.

»You are occupying my building.

I am the ambassador of Myanmar. "

The door stays closed, Kyaw Zwar Minn nevertheless wanted to stay in front of the house "all night".

»This is my building.

I have to get in there, so I'm waiting here now. "

The locked out ambassador called on the British government to intervene.

There were again protests against the military regime in Myanmar on Wednesday, killing at least 14 demonstrators.

Since the coup, the army leadership has been extremely brutal with tear gas, rubber bullets and live ammunition against peaceful demonstrations.

At least 580 people have been killed so far, including almost 50 children.
