London: ousted Burmese ambassador calls for help for his country

But his ministry admitted having been formally notified by the Burmese authorities of the end of the mandate of the Burma ambassador.

The UK must therefore accept the decision of the Burmese government regarding Kyaw Zwar Minn, whose replacement name has not been announced, the ministry said, stressing that the UK's long-standing position was to recognize states. , not governments.

"It's a British decision, not mine,"

said Kyaw Zwar Minn, who in March supported the civilian government of Aung San Suu Kyi, overthrown in a military coup on February 1.

The bloody repression of the security forces against the wind of democratic rebellion which has shaken Burma for more than two months is not weakening and the crisis continues to stir up international waves.

According to the Association for Assistance to Political Prisoners (AAPP), some 600 civilians have been killed since the coup.

The UK has sanctioned several junta officials, including army commander-in-chief Min Aung Hlaing, for their role in the military coup, as well as military-linked conglomerates.
