The Association of Muslim Scholars in Lebanon condemned the Israeli aggression against Syria, which was carried out yesterday by violating the Lebanese airspace.
In a statement today, the gathering stressed the need to work on consolidating the deterrence equation and adhering to the option of resistance as the only solution to the Israeli violations, noting the heroic field response that the Syrian Arab Army undertook to this aggression.
For its part, the vanguards of the popular liberation war condemned the Thunderbolt forces and the Palestine Division of the Arab Socialist Baath Party in Lebanon in the statement of the latest Israeli aggression, praising the heroic response to it by the heroes of the Syrian air defense.
The statement affirmed standing by the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army in order to defeat all enemies, agents and intruders.
In the same context, the Lebanese military expert, retired Brigadier General Amin Hoteit, affirmed that "the rise to the advanced level that appeared in the Syrian air defense response restrains Israeli aggression and opens the way for a next stage of steadfastness and victory in which the enemy will not be in a position of security and reassurance."
Hoteit pointed out that “after the Syrian air defense system closed the Syrian airspace in the face of the hostile warplanes, it formed today a protective umbrella that prevents the enemy from achieving any of its aggression goals, and this is what was recorded yesterday night as this system prevented enemy aircraft from flying in the Syrian airspace and were chased through The borders within the Lebanese airspace, ”in a clear Syrian message that says,“ A new phase has begun in confronting the enemy across the borders, which constitutes a qualitative improvement in the Syrian air defense force. ”
In turn, the former agent of the Egyptian intelligence service, Major General Muhammad Rashad, condemned the Israeli aggression and said in a special statement to SANA's correspondent in Cairo that the Israeli occupation entity is repeating its crimes in an attempt to achieve its plans in the region.
Rashad stressed that the stability of Syria is the stability of the region.
The air defenses in the Syrian Arab Army responded, after midnight yesterday, to an Israeli missile attack on some points in the vicinity of Damascus, and most of the enemy missiles were dropped.
