Tuesday April 6, around 11 am, the individual manages to enter the parking lot of the Mamoudzou police station.

Shirtless, he is armed with a two-pronged metal fork.

Three policemen then surround him and ask him to drop his "weapon".

Faced with his refusal, a police officer ends up hitting him with his taser.

The attacker, however, gets up and throws himself on the police officer, shouting

"Allah Akbar"

.

"

He tried three times to give him the blows of a fork

", details the public prosecutor.

Caught by the other officials present, the man was finally arrested and then taken into police custody.

Psychologically shocked by this assault, a police officer had 8 days of ITT (temporary incapacity for work).

A marginal profile, according to the prosecutor

Informed of the facts by the Mamoudzou prosecution, the national anti-terrorism prosecution did not take up the investigation.

"

We are not on a jihadist profile but on a disoriented marginal profile who lives alone in the dirt and who is angry with the whole of society

", explains the prosecutor of the Republic of Mayotte.

Claiming "

the right to receive unemployment

", the individual had considered doing the same thing in a Post then in a restaurant.

He was the subject of a psychiatric examination.

There is no alteration of discernment but a criminological dangerousness

”, specifies Yann Le Bris.

Previously in metropolitan France, the assailant has a legal residence permit in Mayotte and an Israeli identity card.

He is also an asylum seeker.

Immigration, a concern in Mayotte

This news item, the work of a marginal without religious motivation according to the words of the prosecutor, must however be mirrored with the general climate that reigns in Mayotte.
