At the Ruby ter trial in Siena, resumed today morning, the prosecutor opposed the request for postponement for legitimate impediment made by the defense of Silvio Berlusconi because he was hospitalized.

The prosecutor also asked the college to arrange medical examinations to understand if the impediment is absolute and for how long it will last.

The public prosecution also opposed the request for an excerpt made by the defense of Danilo Mariani, the Sienese pianist from Arcore, accused along with Berlusconi.

The court retired to the council chamber to decide.

Berlusconi in Siena is accused of corruption in judicial acts: for the accusation he allegedly paid Mariani to induce him to give false testimony on the Olgettine case.

The pianist is charged with perjury.

Silvio Berlusconi "wants to make spontaneous statements in the classroom".

The two lawyers of the leader of Fi, the lawyers Federico Cecconi and Enrico De Martino explained this, leaving the court of Siena where the new hearing was held, then postponed, of the Ruby ter trial.

The two defenders today presented the new request for legitimate impediment due to a new hospitalization of Berlusconi, which was accepted by the court.

The postponement is for one week, until April 15, when a sentence could be reached.

The prosecutor Valentina Magnini, who today had opposed the postponement, has already made the requests on February 13: 4 years and 2 months for Berlusconi, accused of corruption in judicial acts because for the accusation he would have paid Danilo Mariani, the Sienese pianist of Arcore, to induce false testimony on the Olgettine case.

For Mariani, accused of perjury, the request of the deputy prosecutor was 4 and a half years of imprisonment.
