In January, the non-party district councilor Regina Schropp from Peißenberg caused another scandal.

In a Facebook post she demanded that the members of the federal government and the prime ministers should be “caught and imprisoned.

Best in a hole in the ground or (in a concentration camp, editor's note) in Buchenwald. ”That now had an aftermath in the district council.

District

- The excitement was immense, the Green Landtag member Andreas Krahl filed a criminal complaint, the police and the public prosecutor's office are investigating.

Shortly afterwards there was an extensive debate in the local newspaper about whether Schropp could be removed from the district council via a voting procedure.

The parties were unanimously shaken by the renewed abusive behavior of the Peißenberger, but even then the experts from the district office said that the legal requirements were not met.

Nevertheless, the Green parliamentary group applied for Schropp to be excluded from the district assembly.

That is why the topic came on the agenda of the district council meeting.

A meeting that Schropp has stayed away from since the introduction of the mask requirement in the district council.

Sorry, as the district councilor Andrea Jochner-Weiß stated with laughter from the district council.

Background: Schropp had officially announced in a letter to the district administrator that he would not participate in any meeting as long as there was a mask requirement on the square.

It was only when it became clear that she could be fined for this that she sent an apology for good cause for each session.

“We are discussing vigorously and at length in the district council.

But personal insults are only uttered by one member of the district council - Regina Schropp, ”said Katharina von Platen (Greens / Penzberg) in support of her request.

At Schropp, insults, defamation and sedition are the order of the day, it is "surprising that she can never take part in meetings of the district council, but is very active with lateral thinkers and on the Internet".

Helmut Stork, legal advisor of the district office, then explained the legal situation.

If a county council is sentenced to a term of at least one year in prison, he loses the right to hold public office for the next five years.

The investigation against Schropp has not yet been concluded.

"And that is how long the presumption of innocence applies," says Stork.

Markus Bader (SPD / Rottenbuch) had sharp criticism of the Greens' proposal.

He described the initiative of the Greens as a “shop window application”.

The proposal is “naive and populist”.

He reported that it had been agreed in the group's speakers not to give the verbal lapses of Ms. Schropp even more space.

However, the Greens ignored this agreement with their request for public treatment.

Therefore, he applied for the exclusion request submitted by the Greens not to be dealt with.

A large majority in the district council agreed with his proposal.

Now the judiciary has to decide.
