Nuremberg: Demo against the expansion of the Frankenschnellweg starts at the Kornmarkt
On Friday afternoon between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. in the area around Dianaplatz on Gibitzenhofstrasse and Ulmenstrasse there will be a demonstration against the expansion of the Frankenschnellweg.
Also at 2 p.m., a moving gathering with the same background starts on the Kornmarkt and is also supposed to end there around 5 p.m.
The demo is planned on the following route: Kornmarkt - Jakobstraße - Färberstraße - Frauentorgraben - Am Plärrer - Südl.
Fürther Strasse - Maximilianstrasse - Nordwestring - Bucher Strasse - Neutorgraben - West Gate - Mohrengasse - Karl-Grillenberger-Strasse - Dr.-Kurt-Schumacher-Strasse - Kornmarkt.
Nuremberg: Demo for solidarity with HDP planned for Saturday
A moving meeting is scheduled for Saturday afternoon, April 10th, at 3 p.m.
According to a press spokesman for the Central Franconian Police Headquarters, this is a gathering to show solidarity with the Turkish HDP.
The participants start their route at Aufseßplatz and will arrive there again at 6 p.m.
The following route is planned according to the police report: Aufseßplatz - Breitscheidstraße - Pillenreuther Straße - Wölckernstraße - Schweiggerstraße - Harsdörfferstraße - intermediate rally at the Turkish Consulate, Regensburger Straße, same route back to Aufseßplatz.
Nuremberg: Police warn of traffic obstruction due to gatherings
In the course of the three meetings, the police headquarters in Middle Franconia announced temporary traffic closures along the corresponding routes, which could result in obstacles to traffic.
Anyone who is out on the streets is asked to follow the instructions of the police forces and, if possible, to drive around the area at the specified times.
In Schwaig near Nuremberg, a driver fled from the police.
When he was arrested, he was exposed as a suspected smuggler.
