A gunman is suspected of having opened fire Thursday, April 8 at a furniture store in Texas, injuring several people with gunshot wounds before fleeing, local police reported, without specifying whether there were any deaths.
"At approximately 2:30 p.m. we were informed of a shooting, (...) the agents intervened and found several victims on the spot,"
said Jason James, spokesman for the Bryan police, a city located between Houston and Dallas.

The shooter managed to get away and was actively wanted, he continued, without providing details of the suspect. These facts came hours after President Joe Biden unveiled at the White House targeted measures to limit the proliferation of firearms in the United States, where shootings are a recurring scourge.
