A police officer opened fire in Sha Tin.

It is understood that at the time of the incident, the Law Enforcement and Control Section of the Police Department of Transportation was conducting a license plate recognition system operation. During the operation, the system identified that a private car's license has expired and launched a pursuit.

However, the private car ignored the instructions and did not stop.

The target vehicle was forced to stop when the police officers chased the lights off the Prince of Wales Hospital.

Police officers from the Ministry of Transport chased him and ordered the driver to get out of the car but to no avail. The target vehicle tried to collide back and forth and escaped. The sergeant fired a shot at the target vehicle, hitting the driver's right shoulder.

The driver is sober.

There was a woman and a child passenger in the target private car. The two were only frightened and not injured.

The shot man was soberly sent to the Prince of Wales Hospital for treatment. In the incident, two private cars, a bus and a taxi collided.

The Transport Department announced that due to a traffic accident, part of the lanes from Silver City Street towards Siu Lek Yuen Road near Cha Wai Kon Street were closed. Motorists can only use the remaining lanes.
