Three minors were seriously and moderately injured last night (Thursday) in Rahat.
Police said that around 03:30, a report was received of two minors, aged 13 and 14, who were located with gunshot wounds on a street in the 21st neighborhood. The two were taken to the hospital for medical treatment in a serious and moderate condition.
According to the police statement, the forces that arrived at the scene began a search and found another injured minor, about 14 years old, in a nearby house, whose condition was defined as serious.
He, too, was rushed to the hospital.
"An investigation has been opened and many forces with the help of the air force are conducting searches for a suspect," the police said.
The commander of the Negev region, Lt. Gen. Yair Hatzroni, is assessing the situation at the scene.
MDA paramedic Guy Sadeh, who was called to the scene, said: "When we arrived at the scene with large forces, we saw two boys, aged 13 and 14, lying on the street with gunshot wounds. We immediately provided them with life-saving medical care, which included bandages and hemostasis. We put them in an intensive care unit and evacuated them to the hospital when they were in a serious and moderate condition. During searches conducted by police at homes on the spot, another seriously injured boy was found and seriously injured. We put him in another intensive care unit and he was also taken to the hospital while continuing medical treatment. "
