Knesset Legal Adviser Sagit Afik ruled tonight (Thursday) that Knesset members from the joint list who did not declare allegiance as is customary when they were sworn in in the plenum on Tuesday, will not enjoy some of their rights.
MKs Sami Abu Shehadeh, Ofer Kasif and list chairman Ayman Odeh refused to say only "I pledge" and asked to pledge to act against racism and the occupation. However, Knesset Speaker Yariv Levin refused, although he has no legal reason to do so.
